Ann Lemon is the Executive Director of the Amos Lemon Burkhart Foundation, which was formed in honor of her son, Amos, a gifted and promising young animator that passed away at the age of 19, in a drug-and-alcohol-related drowning. The Foundation’s mission is to inspire teens to stay alive and make art. They create exhibitions and workshops that let teens use innovative, creative tools to investigate the topics of mental health, creativity and substance use. Ann is also an award winning advertising creative director, creating film and tv projects for Fortune 500 companies including Huggies, Stouffer’s, Guinness, and AT&T. She also taught graphic and advertising design for ten years as a tenured professor in Kutztown University’s Communication Design program, has written two textbooks about design, and is a passionate advocate for teaching teens the crafts of animation and storytelling.
